Can I view all pdf e-books on an Amazon Kindle 3 or just amazon purchased books?
I’m thinking about getting my father a new Amazon Kindle 3 for his birthday.
But I’m wondering if or how you put new books or files onto it. I know you can purchase books from the amazon store and whatnot, but I’ve got e-books already on my computer that are in pdf format, I’m wondering if it’s just a case of transferring them onto the kindle to be read or is it locked to specific amazon only purchases?
Kindles can view .pdf files.
Remember, .pdf files are image files, not text. They cannot be reformatted and are not flexible as to how text is displayed. The Kindle will display one page at a time. If too small to read, you’ll have to zoom in on areas of that .pdf page.
