Anyway I can transfer a video from CamCorder to PC only with USB?

The problem is, when I plug in the USB I just hear the sound but no bubble in the bottom right pops up (example: new driver found). I tried almost anything I can think of, FileMaker Pro, WMM, honestech Video Editor, etc. Nothing can find the Camcorder. I looked at my Control Panel but there is no appropriate file that can copy/transfer it. I will try to get the CD as soon as possible. But for now, I can’t do anything! Please help & thanks for advance.
Your computer needs a firewire card(ieee1394) in it, then you need a firewire cord to connect your camera to your computer via the DV jack. Then use the software that came with the camera or Windows movie maker. I prefer Pinacle studio 9.
