Keyless Entry Remotes: What Are They & How Do You Replace Them?

Inside the car is a radio receiver tuned to the transmitter’s frequency. It opens the door when it recognizes the right frequency.
Keyless entry systems have become standard equipment on almost every new vehicle. They look simple, but have very complex terminology behind them. To make sure that no one can use his or her fob to open your car door, it’s necessary to produce a signal that’s unique to every car. There are rolling codes and data encryption which make stealing very difficult.
Losing your remote is a common problem. You should always get original manufacturer replacement keyless entry remotes. Key replacement and door reprogramming should be done by reputable businesses. Replacement of keyless systems usually involves getting your Vehicle Identification Number (VIN), make, model and year of your vehicle either to your dealer or an online store to choose the right fob.
Car dealers can charge an arm and a leg to replace key remotes, throwing in a service charge to fix that replacement key fob. There are several stores online which provide original manufacturer remotes at reasonable rates. Choose one of them to get your vehicle running again!

I need an alarm remote control for my 94 FORD EXPLORER where can I get one?
I lost mine! I have no spare. I’ve tried a couple of FORD ordering sites and I can’t find what I’m looking for. I unhooked my battery and when I hooked it back up the alarm keeps going off. I don’t know how to shut it off with out the keychain remote. Any ideas?
FIND AND PULL THE FUSE TO THE ALARM.
IF THAT DON’T WORK, RAISE THE REAR OF THE CAR 2-3 FEET UP. THIS WILL RESET THE ALARM SYSTEM TO STANDBY MODE WAITING FOR YOU TO RE-ARM SYSTEM.
THATS HOW TOW TRUCKS DEACTIVATE THE SYSTEM WHEN THEY HOOK ON AND RAISE THE CAR, A SENSOR TELLS IT IT’S BEING TOWED (IT’S A SENSOR THAT SHUTS IT DOWN)
AS YOU DON’T HAVE THE REMOTE, YOU NEED TO GO TO A FORD DEALER WITH PROOF OF OWNERSHIP AND THEY HAVE TO ORDER A NEW REMOTE FROM THE COMPANY.
