he program has been designed as universal software for security hybrid platforms functioning concurrently with wireless and wired Internet cameras, TV-boards, capture cards, power-line, and USB webcams.
It has web interface with the same appearance and functionality on the local and apart workstations. Customers see MPEG-4 coded picture and have complete control of the program via net that security server can be run without screen, keyboard, and mouse connected.
Program\’s modular configuration extensively boosts reliability because all modules proceed as autonomous programs. If one part freezes, other modules continue working. For instance if the “capture” component fails, “watchdog” restarts it right away that viewers don\’t notice anything because they are watching picture through a “playback” unit.
The program does “cyclic” recording that the “hard drive full” situation never occurs. The recording can be non-stop or it can be activated by activity, human face recognition, or by timetable.
The program has pre-alarm and post-alarm recording. Playing back recorded video is pretty simple and performs on the surveillance pc as well as on distant server using Web interface.
The program makes simultaneous video playback for event examination from multiple cameras simultaneously. Also recorded information can be searched by date, time or by face detected. All recorded data can be encrypted and password protected.

How to hook up a vip722 dvr to your computer?
Hello im a tech junky but cant figure this out. I have a vip722 dvr from dish net. and want to hook it up to my computer to edit and burn to dvd. some one told me you could from the usb port on the dvr and then to your computer. I tried but didn’t have the transfer cable i just made a homemade male to male usb to hook up. if you have any info that could help that would be great, thanks.
Unfortunatley you can’t do that. Even with the connection there is proprietary software that prevents it. Dishnetwork has recently set it up so that the USB connection can be used to connect to an external hard drive for additional storage of your dvr recordings. They charge a one time 35 dollar fee to enable that function. However if you have a DVD recorder you can easily make dvd’s from the recorded content. I have done that many times myself. Stand alone dvd recorders are available for under 100.00 now days. Hope this helps.
